The hotel offers clean and spacious rooms, although lacking a truly resort-like atmosphere. The service was accommodating and friendly towards stranded travelers. Located in a tranquil setting on Lake Victoria with a beautiful lakefront party area, the hotel provides a safe and well-maintained environment. The dining experience, despite being overpriced, stands out as a meal to anticipate. The facilities are reliable, offering a comfortable stay.
The hotel boasts nice rooms with high ceilings, marble accents in the bathroom, and a separate shower and tub, but my broken curtain was not fixed despite multiple attempts by housekeeping. The rooms are clean and very nice by Uganda standards, and reception warned me about possible noise from a planned music event.
The hotel is in a convenient location right on Lake Victoria with a lovely lakefront party area, but it lacks in Wi-Fi strength, AC effectiveness, and overall cosmetics. The rooms are spacious and always clean, though they could be more inviting. The service was below par, with poorly trained staff. The dining options are buffet style with plenty of choice but are overpriced compared to ordering from the menu.
My stay at the hotel was overall quite pleasant. The rooms were extremely large and quite comfy, with a turn-down service and modern amenities, although housekeeping was a bit inconsistent. The service was quick in attending to our initial needs but became slow during meal service. The location was in a quiet neighborhood by Lake Victoria, albeit prone to 'lake flies. ' The dining options were adequate, though pricey for the quality. The facilities were well-maintained, offering a nice mix of amenities.
The hotel is grand to look at and comfortable, but can get very hot as it is not cooled. The rooms were spacious but lacked cleanliness, with reports of bed-bugs and cockroaches. The staff are nice but service can be slow, especially in the restaurant where there were issues with the AC. Accessible through a small gate in fearsome-looking steel fencing and conveniently close to the international airport, making it a suitable choice in certain circumstances.
